Line's Sick Day Ski is enough to give a grownup a serious case of the powder-day itis, but it's a little too ill for groms, so Line busted out its shrink ray and produced the Sick Day Shorty Kids' Ski for pint-sized shredders who have big-time pow-fluenza. The Sick Day Shorty has all the playfulness of its big brother, but it's been lightened and softened up to be a more forgiving ride for lighter rippers. The core is made primarily from light and nimble aspen, but has a maple section underfoot for increased stability and edge control, and is built with Line's 4D Fibercap construction, which uses a fiberglass cap to give the ski a smooth flex without stacking up unnecessary ounces. Slight camber underfoot gives the Sick Day enough bite to edge on hardpack, but an Early Rise rockered tip and tail help your grom float through soft snow and slash big, steezy pow turns like it's a breeze. Line also built the Sick Day with its famous 5-Cut five-dimensional sidecut, which makes it easy to make turns of all shapes and sizes, and cut the tips and tails with an Early Taper profile that won't hang up, lock him into turns, or feel squirrely when he hits some variable snow.
